&lt;br&gt;
As for Connie 'Click-Track' Fisher, and the horribly wooden Aoife (which you will note is an anagram of  'i.e., oaf'), it just proves my point that the British public is to talent spotting what Adolf Hitler was to race relations.&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
My father (now 75) can recall my grandfather - a professional singer and dancer - predicting that the introduction of the microphone would spell the end of quality entertainment, as it would mean that "anyone can be a star".
